CAO WARNS LOCAL GOVERNMENT STAFF AGAINST POLITICS
The Chief Administrative Officer Mr Kumakech Charles Oluba has warned all civil servants in Kapchorwa District to desist from active politics or resign so that the law doesn't catch them.
As servants, we work with any government in power.
"Civil servants are a neutral government and politicians are the government in power. "
The CAO further warned against absenteeism especially in sub counties, those found in act risk being cut off the payroll.
On the same note, the Deputy CAO Mr Joseph Magiri asked the participants to work towards service delivery and cooperation between politicians and civil servants. He asked them to protect their jobs by doing right things for our people of Kapchorwa.
The Chief Finance Officer Mr Kurong James caution the trainees on deadlines and revenue collections because it improves service delivery. Those who fail to meet government deadlines and targets shall miss salaries.
Mr Kumakech in the company of his Deputy and CFO were closing a two days training for all Sub county Chiefs, Community Development Officers, Sub county accountants at Sipi Town Council.
The training organized by the District Planner Mr Mutai Rajab was an acquiescence of the National Development Plan four (NDPIV) which was rolled to District and now to the sub counties.
NDPIV is being implemented by the government of Uganda for next five years across all the administrative units from National to lower local governments.
